About the role

Erwin Electric is an established electrical company, with an excellent reputation in the electrical contracting community since 1997. We are a W/MBE and DBE-certified electrical contracting corporation experienced in commercial, industrial, residential, and government work. Erwin Electric, Inc. is currently seeking an Electrical Assistant Project Manager in the Tampa Bay Area. This is an onsite position based in the Tampa Bay area. Local candidates are strongly preferred. Relocation assistance is not available.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in developing project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget
  • Monitor project progress and address issues as they arise
  • Help in coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that project resources are allocated efficiently
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and meeting minutes
  • Ensure that electrical installations and projects comply with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries and providing updates on project status
  • Track project expenses and assist in managing budgets to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints
  • Identify potential risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions
  • Work closely with project teams to foster a collaborative environment and resolve any issues that may impact project outcomes

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience in the electrical field
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and project management principles
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities

Other Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to occasionally travel to project sites
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in electrical work
