Assistant Project Manager
About the role
As an Assistant Construction Project Manager at Elmington Construction, you will play a crucial role in delivering projects according to plans, schedules, budgets, quality expectations, selections, and specifications. You will work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent, assisting with project startup activities, managing the submittal process and material procurement, and overseeing the RFI process and tracking logs.
Responsibilities
- Understands, models, and enforces Elmington's safety standards
- Aids in project startup activities
- Understands and assists in the development, planning, and updating of project schedules
- Manages submittal process and material procurement
- Manages RFI process and tracking log
- Creates and manages other tracking logs such as concrete, stone, lumber, etc.
- Aids with financials of the project, including subcontractor PCOs, vendor invoices, and subcontractor payment applications
- Manages job closeout tracking and documentation process
- Takes meeting minutes for subcontractor and OAC meetings, assists with the preparation and distribution of all meeting materials including the agenda, minutes, action items, etc.
- Aids in project coordination meetings
- Demonstrates adherence to EC policy and processes and teaches EC policy and processes to new team members
- Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- S. Degree in a Construction related program is preferred, but not required if experience levels are high
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Frequently sit, stand and walk. Regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Temperature in the workplace is typically moderate, though the ability to withstand seasonal cold and heat of the outdoors is necessary.
