Assistant Project Manager

About the role

Assist in the management of multiple projects while providing advice to the Project Manager. Help coordinate projects, schedules, and track the progress of projects and report their results.

Responsibilities

• Help oversee a construction project from start to finish
• Manage day-to-day project activities including the POD and time sheets
• Assist in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed
• Work with project manager to ensure understanding of all project activities, schedules, and deliverables
• Help to manage client responsibilities and expectations
• Work with management to develop the objectives/goals of each team member and assign individual responsibilities
• Ensure that construction activities move according to pre-determined schedule
• Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis
• Demonstrate effective time management and logical decision-making ability

Requirements

• Ability to multitask and maintain effectiveness with multiple priorities
• Professional demeanor; remain calm and emotionally controlled under pressure
• Ability to follow directions and take initiative when required
• Excellent communication, accounting, and organizational skills
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and Timberline
• Basic to good understanding of construction means and methods
• Basic understanding/proficiency with spreadsheets, email, and other software used in the construction industry
• Completed OSHA ET&D Training
• Field visits to the job site (physical demands)

Qualifications

At least one of the following:

• Degree in Engineering/Construction Management
• Construction Management with 1-2 years of experience with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor
• 2+ years of directly related experience with no degree

Pay

$75,000 – $125,000
