About the role
This is a position seeking someone who is looking to develop a broad understanding of project execution, from start to end. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for supporting all aspects of a project with a primary focus on the project deliverables and team management.
Responsibilities
- Aid in project coordination, overseeing project schedules, tracking milestones, and managing workflow to ensure timely delivery of project phases.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams, clients, and contractors to facilitate seamless communication and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain project documentation and organize files, ensuring all stakeholders have access to the most current information.
- Manage and distribute RFIs, submittals, transmittals, and other project-related documentation.
- Monitor construction progress by maintaining logs and tracking contractor inquiries or responses.
- Ensure all construction administration tasks are completed in alignment with project specifications and standards.
- Aid in Revit tasks, including creating, editing, and maintaining design models and drawings.
- Review models for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet project requirements.
- Provide drafting support as needed to expedite the preparation of drawing sets for submission.
- Prepare meeting agendas, take detailed notes, and distribute summaries with clear action items and deadlines.
- Follow up with team members on assigned tasks and provide reminders for upcoming deadlines.
- Present project updates to internal stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
- Anticipate project needs by identifying potential risks, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies and suggesting solutions to keep the project on track.
- Regularly review project workflows and recommend process improvements to enhance team efficiency.
- Take initiative to address and resolve minor issues independently, escalating more significant concerns to the Project Manager.
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors to promote collaboration and ensure alignment on project goals.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from stakeholders, providing accurate and professional communication.
- Carefully coordinate deliverables and submissions to meet client and regulatory requirements.
- Perform quality checks on documentation, drawings, and models to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Attend site visits and conduct review of existing condition surveys and help with punchlists.
- Aid in preparing status reports and updates for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Track lessons learned during projects and document them for future reference.
- Organize and maintain project records, ensuring all information is up to date and accessible.
- Aid in onboarding new team members by providing project-specific training and guidance on workflows.
- Support departmental goals by taking on additional responsibilities or participating in firm-wide initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Knowledge of industry trends, project management and construction procedures and best practices.
- Knowledge of MEP / FA / FP trades and the general requirements for each.
- Skilled at producing drawings and visual aids using Revit.
- Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management.
- Skilled at using project management software such as Procore.
- Knowledge of the importance of the Method of Procedure (MOP) Process, work notifications and protection of IT network and other equipment during construction.
- Ability to work successfully in a remote environment thru effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspace.
- Ability to follow company and site safety requirements.
- Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information).
- Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines.
- Ability to effectively plan and delegate the work of others.
- Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Qualifications
- B.A. / B.S. degree in engineering, construction, or related discipline.
- Minimum three years of related experience.

Pay
The Pay Range For This Role Is 83,000 - 104,125 USD per year(Remote (United States))
