Responsibilities
- Always copy the PM on all communication (Emails, tele conv, etc) with the client, architect and outside consultants.
- Assist in conducting fieldwork and at times take the lead in this effort.
- Attend design meetings with the client and issue minutes when the Project Manager cannot attend or accompany the PM to meetings.
- Organize and direct frequent in-house meetings under the direction of the PM.
- Provide input to the PM in regards to scheduling personnel.
- Work with the PM in the preparation of detailed personnel loading by task interfaced with the detailed schedule.
- Aid the PM in the preparation of storyboards and detailed project timelines.
- Aid the PM in the organization and maintenance of the design binder.
- Aid the PM in the coordination of all the disciplines involved, including outside consultants.
- Aid the PM in the supervision and coordination of the submission of documents to appropriate reviewing authorities.
- Aid the PM in the coordination of the review responses and help ensure they are reflected in the drawings/specifications.
- Under the direction of the PM, arrange for in-house quality review primarily for the PM to ensure that all of the clients' needs and requests have been accommodated.
- Aid the PM to ensure and coordinate among all of the disciplines involved, including outside consultants.
- Arrange/attend pre-bid conferences when the Project Manager cannot attend or accompany the PM.
- If required, issue the minutes, addenda, under the direction/supervision of the PM.
- Aid the PM at bid openings and help to prepare / issue certified bid tabulation.
Required Skills & Required Experience
- Construction Professional (Engineer or Contractor)
- EIT or PE
- Knowledgeable of construction process, familiar with AIA and VA state construction contracts
- Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Well organized, takes good notes
- Good conceptual understanding of plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and structural systems with general knowledge of system operation, space requirements, cost
Pay
The projected range for this position is $95,000.00 - $122,000.00 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
