About the role

As an Assistant Project Manager at Choate Construction, you play a key support role in guiding projects from early planning through successful completion. Your contributions directly impact clients, project teams, and communities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily management, coordination, and administration of projects
  • Support efforts related to contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and cost control
  • Collaborate with the field Superintendent and project team to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget
  • Gain hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of a construction project

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in a commercial construction–oriented entry-level role
  • Eager to grow careers and take on increasing responsibility

Qualifications

  • Build positive, respectful relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors, and internal partners
  • Bring a mindset of stewardship to the project team
  • Take safety personally, actively partnering with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Safety team
  • Be detail-oriented and curious, understanding contract requirements, assisting with subcontracts and purchase orders, and communicating potential risks or changes early
  • Enjoy being involved early in the process, contributing during preconstruction, supporting logistics and scheduling efforts, and helping ensure the project is set up for success
  • Thrive in a learning-forward environment, supporting construction planning, financial tracking, and BIM/VDC coordination
