About the role
Joining Balfour Beatty as an Assistant Project Manager in our Georgia team you will play a key role in supporting the management of day-to-day project operations, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, ensuring the success of our Safety/Zero Harm culture and ensuring that critical project documentation and communication flow is maintained.
Responsibilities
- Aid the Project Manager with overall project planning, scheduling, and execution
- Coordinate subcontractor and vendor activities, ensuring work aligns with project specifications and deadlines
- Coordinate drawings and specifications with trades
- Prepare procurement log to manage and schedule long lead items
- Cookordination of meetings with trades, clients, governing agencies and inspectors
- Manage trade and owner change orders
- Assemble as-built documents
- Track and manage RFI's, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation
- Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes, status updates, and progress reports
- Conduct site visits to assist with quality control, safety compliance, and progress verification
- Assist with project close-out, punch lists, and handover to clients
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial construction in either the office or field
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Proven experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in a commercial construction setting
- Experience with project manager software (Constructware, P6, Timberline, etc.)
- Strong understanding of construction processes, drawings, and specifications
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Qualifications
