About the role

This isn’t just an entry-level role — and it’s not quite a full supervisory position either. It’s a hands-on internship designed for future Clinical Leaders. At CSD, Clinical Leader Intern supports the design and delivery of evidence-based behavioral health services for children with autism spectrum disorders and/or related developmental disabilities. Working under the supervision of a licensed or credentialed Clinical Leader, this role assists in implementing treatment plans aligned with physician recommendations across home, school, and other natural settings.

Starting Pay

Starting Pay: $29 - 32 per hour, based on experience

About the Opportunity

As an Clinical Leader Intern you will:

  • Direct Client Support: Provide 1:1 ABA services using play-based, evidence-based strategies
  • Follow individualized treatment plans designed by Clinical Leaders
  • Support skill development in communication, socialization, and daily living skills
  • Deliver services in homes, schools, centers, and community settings
  • Early Clinical Leadership Exposure: Carry a limited caseload with added responsibility, supported by senior clinicians
  • Participate in joint sessions, shadowing, and in-field coaching opportunities
  • Assist with documentation review, session preparation, and treatment fidelity
  • Support parent education conversations alongside Clinical Leaders
  • Collaborate with Training and Operations teams as part of your learning experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines, or a closely related field: Psychology, Child Development, Childhood Education, Special Education, or Pediatric Therapy (Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy)
  • One of the following experience pathways: 2+ years of related professional experience implementing behavior modification intervention services, or 1+ year of related professional experience implementing behavior modification intervention services and 12 semester units in Applied Behavior Analysis, or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to complete training, documentation, and physical requirements of the role
  • Proof of vaccinations (MMR, Varicella, COVID – CA mandated)
  • Comfort working with diverse populations

Physical Requirements

May Include But Is Not Limited To:

  • Constant visual stimulation, including close vision, distance vision, reading, computer work
  • Constant sitting; frequent up and down out of chair
  • Constant use of telephone, speaking, listening
  • Constant document handling, use of copier and fax machine, filing
  • Frequent typing, use of computer
  • Occasional walking around building
  • Occasional bending, reaching, stooping, pulling
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, moving of items up to 20 pounds
  • Occasional walking to, bending to enter, sitting and using upper and lower limbs to drive car
