Devereux Massachusetts and Rhode Island is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to helping children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders. The South Wing Down Residential Program serves students with various complex psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder. This program serves IDD/ASD males, ages 15-21, with a 1:3 staff-to-student ratio, offering a high level of individualized care. Staff design house-specific routines, chores, and activities that support the individuals' growth and development.

About the role

As an Assistant Program Manager, you will be passionate about working with and helping youth. You will provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment, collaborate with the Program Manager/Director to create program vision, and assist with planning and implementing programming for individuals. This role also involves staffing and other aspects of program management, requiring strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Assist with the planning and implementation of programming for individuals.
  • Assist with staffing and other aspects of program management as needed.
  • Design house-specific routines, chores, and activities that support growth and development.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • High School Diploma with two years of congregate care experience or Bachelor’s degree with one year of congregate care experience required.
  • Degrees in psychology, social work, sociology, or related field preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA.

Pay

$23.47–$27.76 per hour, depending on experience and education. $2,000 sign-on bonus, plus an additional $250 bonus if MAP certified.

Schedule

Wednesday–Saturday, 3pm–11pm. Located in Rutland, MA.
