Assistant Program Manager
Overview
Starting Rate: $20.25/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday 3-11pm, with some flexibility
About the role
The Assistant Program Manager will assist the Program Manager with supervisory responsibilities within a group home setting. This role will also ensure the smooth operation of caregiver services provided by Direct Support staff to adults who identify with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Treat individuals with dignity and respect
- Aid in the supervision of staff
- Aid staff in promoting self-advocacy, decision-making, and empowerment
- Develop and monitor community-centered opportunities for all individuals
- Schedule and attend medical, dental, psychiatric, and other necessary appointments as needed
- Complete progress notes and other documentation as necessary
- Maintain accurate scheduling of staff for economy and program coverage
- Audit individual financial records and assist with monthly business reports
- Ensure accuracy of medication administration following MAP procedures
- Lead and attend staff meetings as appropriate
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent degree and two years’ related experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, and sound judgment
- Basic computer knowledge
- Valid driver's license, operational and insured vehicle access, and willingness to use it for client transportation
- Demonstrated understanding and competence in serving culturally diverse populations
