About the role

The Assistant Program Director (APD) reports to the Program Director and is a key member of the management structure. The APD is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, administration, and evaluation of the program, ensuring the welfare of members and staff, and carrying out supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the delivery of all program and casework services align with agency objectives and promotes agency traditions, practices, and organizational goals.
  • Provides direct service to members and their families, functioning as the senior clinician or "player coach" of the team.
  • Oversees the team's optimal functioning, meeting community support and rehabilitation needs, and adhering to commercial insurance standards.
  • Maintains and monitors required paperwork, ensuring the quality and validity of individual case records according to regulatory standards.
  • Manages income streams and programmatic expenditures, following agency accounting procedures and budget guidelines.
  • Ensures compliance with Thresholds' financial procedures and maintains the confidentiality and security of member funds.
  • Maintains regular communication with key staff from other programs and provides accurate and timely information to the Program Director.
  • Assists with special tasks as assigned, including writing proposals, conducting research, and training external visitors.
  • Oversees the physical space used for the program and assumes responsibility for staff and member safety.
  • Participates in and attends special activities related to the program, as assigned.
  • Assumes leadership and modeling responsibilities during crises and extreme weather events.
  • Provides crisis interventions while in the community.
  • Represents Thresholds in the community and with partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • Three (3) years of leadership experience preferred
  • Ability to synthesize and summarize information to make judgments regarding member care
  • Computer proficiency, including email and electronic medical record navigation
  • Current and valid driver’s license required
  • Daily access to a personal vehicle required
  • Must obtain and maintain $100,000/$300,000/$100,000 liability insurance coverage
  • Subject to validation every 6 months
  • May be required to provide transportation for members of the program using a Thresholds provided vehicle or personal vehicle
  • Must be 23 years of age and meet all insurance carrier's requirements
  • Subject to annual Department of Motor Vehicles license verification

Skills/Certifications

  • Current and valid driver’s license required
  • Current and valid medical license required
  • Knowledge of relevant insurance regulations and standards
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including electronic medical records
