Assistant Program Director/Child Development Specialist
About the role
Brain Balance of Palm Beach Gardens is seeking a passionate, energetic, and organized Child Development Specialist & Assistant Program Director to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who loves working with children and families, enjoys leading and mentoring others, and is looking for a meaningful career beyond the traditional classroom or therapy setting. This position is designed for individuals interested in growing into leadership roles within our organization.
Responsibilities
- Coach children through individualized cognitive, sensory, and physical activities as needed.
- Assessments.
- Build meaningful relationships with children and families.
- Support program implementation and ensure a high-quality client experience.
- Aid in staff training, coaching, and development.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress.
- Oversee daily center operations.
- Participate in family meetings and progress reviews.
- Collaborate closely with the Program Director and Executive Director.
- Serve as a leader within the center and help maintain a positive team culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Experience working with children required.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive, energetic, and professional demeanor.
- Leadership experience preferred but not required.
- Proficient with technology and able to quickly learn new platforms.

Schedule
30 hours per week.
Monday: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM (7.5 paid hours)
Wednesday: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM (7.5 paid hours)
Thursday: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM (7.5 paid hours)
Tuesday OR Friday: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM (7.5 paid hours)
Plus one hour unpaid lunch break each day.
Compensation
$22–$25 per hour (based on experience)
