About the role
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as formal lecture opportunities within the department.
- Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient and/or outpatient care for patients with congenital heart disease.
- Research or scholarship responsibilities may include a body of work that demonstrates intellectual independence, co-supervision of postdoctoral fellows, students, and research staff, coordinating NIH-funded grant efforts with local, national, and international collaborators, participation in writing grants, reports, and manuscripts.
- The successful candidate must develop, grow and maintain independent extramural funding, and have scholarship in high-impact publications.
Requirements
- Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
- Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics.
