About the role
The Department of Physics at Simon Fraser University seeks applications from exceptional experimental physics candidates for a tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor to work at the interface between silicon-based quantum information and photonics. Responsibilities
- Conduct cutting-edge research in the field of silicon-based quantum information and photonics
- Collaborate with other researchers and students to advance knowledge in quantum information science
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in physics and related areas
- Participate in departmental and university-wide initiatives to promote the study and application of quantum information science
Requirements
- A PhD in Physics or a closely related field
- Strong research record in experimental physics, particularly in quantum information and photonics
- Excellent teaching skills and a commitment to student success
- Ability to secure external funding for research projects
