Responsibilities
- Oversight of the diagnostic medical sonography vascular program and all functions associated with the program, including programmatic accreditation.
- Maintain a teaching workload in accordance with the faculty handbook.
- Aid admissions department with recruitment.
- Conduct online and in-person information sessions, attend student recruitment events, and conduct student interviews.
- Advise students regarding curriculum, progression, and clinical education.
- Conduct program, course, and faculty assessments in accordance with the accreditation requirements and the college.
- Establish, implement, and oversee all aspects of the DMS Vascular Concentration curriculum.
- Collaborate with the program faculty in the planning, development, and evaluation of DMS didactic, laboratory and clinical education.
- Obtain, coordinate, and maintain affiliation and communication with clinical sites.
- Evaluate and ensure the effectiveness of clinical education.
- Utilize Trajecsys for tracking all clinical records.
- Ensure students are on track to meet all graduation requirements.
- Establish a positive learning environment to ensure student educational success.
- Assist with additional duties/requirements as needed to ensure a successful program.
Qualifications
- RVT or RVS certification required with specific experience in Vascular Sonography.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of full-time clinical experience in sonography.
- Experience in course development and accreditation writing preferred.
- Evidence of prior teaching experience or clinical supervision of interns preferred.

- Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty and clinical supervisors.
- Ability to collaborate with other faculty.
- Ability to utilize technology necessary for teaching including but not limited to: Office 365, Moodle, library and other online resources.
