About the role

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Clarkson University invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level. The position is available starting in January 2025.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the Electrical & Computer Engineering Programs
• Perform research in the field of software systems architecture and design, software testing and quality assurance, secure software development, software maintenance and evolution, artificial intelligence and machine learning
• Advising both undergraduate and graduate students
• Performing service duties for the Department, University, and Profession

Requirements

• PhD in Software Engineering or related discipline
• Demonstrated record of scholarly accomplishments in top tiered conferences and journals
• Demonstrated ability or strong potential to secure external research funding
• A strong commitment to excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a PhD in Software Engineering or related discipline.
