About the role

The Young School of Nursing, Weston Campus Program is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor for the 2026-2027 academic year. The position is within the Pre-Licensure Nursing programs and focuses on adult health/medical-surgical nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Teach in the Pre-Licensure Degree Nursing Programs
  • Coordinate aspects of curriculum implementation, including course development and revisions based on analysis of outcome data
  • Participate in the scheduling and course offerings within the Pre-Licensure Department
  • Collaborate on and promote interdisciplinary/interprofessional education curricula with faculty supporting the Pre-Licensure nursing courses
  • Collaborate on and assist the nursing program director and faculty in maintaining the quality and integrity of the Pre-Licensure Degree nursing programs, which include evaluation of students and course evaluations, curriculum workshops, and review of student integrity and/or progression issues
  • Participate in the Pre-Licensure Nursing Department Meetings, School of Nursing Meetings, any other appointed university or SON committees, and open houses
  • Aid in the compliance with standards and guidelines set by ACEN, NECHE, Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing and other accrediting bodies related to health professions programs
  • Support faculty development in teaching, research, leadership and other scholarly activities as well as in community service
  • Ensure and support a conducive teamwork environment with SON faculty and staff
  • Provide advising support for Pre-Licensure Degree Nursing students
  • Attend professional meetings related to curriculum development and academic leadership

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse in Massachusetts with a master’s degree in nursing required
  • Earned doctoral degree or currently enrolled in doctoral studies and three years of related experience preferred
  • Ability to uphold the university’s commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community
  • Experience in writing grants, scholarly papers and/or other related scholarly activities
  • Commitment to community and professional service

Pay

$71,344 - $73,129 annually
