About the role
The department of Physics and Biophysics at Augusta University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank. All conventional areas of physics shall be considered though some emphasis will be given to applicants that can contribute to the Biophysics areas and work well within a top-ranked health sciences university.

Required Qualifications
- Educational Requirements: Candidates should have a PhD Degree in Physics in a fundable research area and have a strong publication record in ranked peer reviewed journals in their research areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong publication record in ranked peer reviewed journals in their research areas.
- Ability to develop an independent, novel research program.
- Excellence in teaching is expected.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
This position is academic year based and typically works August through May, depending on dates outlined in offer letter and yearly contract. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0. Assistant Professor- Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements.
