About the role
The School of Communications at Quinnipiac University seeks a dynamic, imaginative, and innovative storyteller to join the Journalism department as it expands its expertise in data visualization and social media reporting. The department seeks a colleague skilled in the use of data analysis and visualization to bring complicated stories to life across multiple platforms, particularly social media.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in data visualization, social media reporting, and emerging media techniques.
- Develop and implement innovative curricula that incorporate data analysis, visualization, and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new programs and initiatives within the department.
- Engage in research and scholarship that advances the field of journalism and communications.
- Participate in departmental and university committees as needed.
Requirements
- A minimum of a master’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
- Experience in data analysis and visualization.
- Experience in social media reporting.
- Experience with AI / AR / VR in reporting.
- Experience in podcasting or other emerging media.

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
The position will begin in August 2025 and will be full-time.
