About the role

Marshall University’s School of Theatre and Dance is seeking applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Theatre Technology/Technical Direction beginning August 2024.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing scenic technology and technical management for all productions
• Teaching courses in technical theatre, design, and general theatre
• Contributing to the University’s general education curriculum and its emphasis on high-impact teaching practices (e.g., Community-based Learning, Critical Thinking, First Year Seminar, Writing Across Curriculum, etc.)
• Contributing to the College’s support of interdisciplinary programs of study
