About the role

Provide surgical care including trauma surgical care to patients as a faculty/attending physician at the facility in Cabell County, WV. In affiliation with Marshall University, duties include providing supervision and clinical instruction to medical students and residents in general surgery, trauma surgery, and related areas. Participate in rounds and present at one or more Medical Grand Rounds per year.

Requirements

Position requires a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from an accredited medical school, completion of a residency program in General Surgery, and certification by the American Board of Surgery. Must be eligible for and obtain West Virginia Medical License.

Qualifications

Experience in trauma surgery is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to teaching and mentoring.
