About the role
The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Thomas Jefferson University invites applications for a full-time faculty position in their newly developing Speech-Language Pathology Program. The program offers the degree of Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, integrating academic, clinical, and research experiences to prepare students for entry-level practice as speech-language pathologists.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in the Speech-Language Pathology program, including but not limited to swallowing disorders, voice disorders, neurogenic speech disorders, and motor speech.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Speech-Language Pathology curriculum.
- Participate in clinical training and supervision of students.
- Engage in scholarly activities such as research, publication, and presentation.
- Collaborate with other members of the JCRS team to promote clinical excellence and innovative teaching methods.
Requirements
- PhD or EdD in Speech-Language Pathology or related field preferred, but ABD candidates are also encouraged to apply.
- Current ASHA Certification and eligibility for licensure as a speech-language pathologist in Pennsylvania.
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas: swallowing disorders, voice disorders, neurogenic speech disorders, or motor speech.
