Assistant Professor of Sociology
Job Summary
The successful candidate will develop and teach undergraduate and graduate Sociology courses involving and relating to AI and contribute to the intellectual life of their units through research.
These positions will also include in-person teaching in our innovative, nationally-recognized Cornerstone Integrated Liberal Arts Program that educates students across the university.

Expand our capacity to explore the implications of developing AI across multiple academic domains (including but not limited to Sociology).
Advance and contribute to Sociology research and educational initiatives surrounding AI in new and important ways.
Responsibilities
- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate Sociology courses involving and relating to AI.
- Contribute to the intellectual life of their units through research.

- Advance and contribute to Sociology research and educational initiatives surrounding AI in new and important ways.
Requirements
- PhD in Sociology, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence (including machine learning and computational data science), or closely related degree, or foreign equivalent.
- A record of publishing high-quality peer-reviewed research.
Qualifications
- The Candidate must have the ability to work in the US without immigration sponsorship (such as, but not limited to H-1B, TN, E-3 or O-1 visa status).
Skills
- Strong teaching and research skills.
- Experience with AI and computational data science.
