Assistant Professor of Psychology (Clinical/Counseling)

About the role

St. Mary's College of Maryland is hiring a full-time, tenure-track Research Psychologist in St. Marys City, Maryland. This is a remote-friendly position with a start date of Fall 2027. The college is a public national honors college located 70 miles from Washington, D.C.

Teaching

• Teach general courses including Intro to Psychology, Psychological Research/Analysis/Writing, and Scientific Writing.
• Teach breadth courses in Clinical/Counseling.
• Teach topics courses in area of specialization.
• Teach 3 courses per semester.
• Supervise senior thesis.
• Develop an active research program involving undergraduates.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Psychology or related field (ABD acceptable).
• Commitment to culturally competent teaching and mentoring.
• Interest in attracting students from underrepresented groups.

Pay
