About the Role

The Psychology Department at Marist University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in biopsychology, cognitive neuroscience, industrial-organizational psychology, or sports psychology. The recently renovated Dyson building includes multiple psychology labs with dedicated spaces, participant running rooms, and equipment for cognitive, biological, social, and developmental research.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses within areas of expertise plus survey courses, research methods, and statistics.
  • Develop and teach hands-on laboratory courses in a small liberal arts setting.
  • Conduct ongoing research and mentor undergraduate research.
  • Advise undergraduate students.
  • Participate in departmental and university activities.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Psychology or related field by Fall 2027.
  • University-level teaching experience preferred.
  • Flexible regarding teaching assignments.
  • Emphasis on high-quality and inclusive teaching.
