About the Role

Bowdoin College’s Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty appointment in experimental condensed-matter physics at the Assistant Professor level, beginning July 1, 2027. We seek a physicist who can actively involve undergraduate students in their research program.

Responsibilities

  • Teach four courses per year
  • Conduct research in experimental condensed-matter physics
  • Mentor and involve undergraduate students in research

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Physics (expected by the date of appointment)
