About the role
The Brent R. Nicklas School of Nursing at Hartwick College invites applications for one full-time faculty position to teach in Hartwick's Baccalaureate-level Nursing program, starting in August 2026, pending final administrative approval.
Responsibilities
- Teach in Hartwick's Baccalaureate-level Nursing program
- Teach Medical-Surgical, Research, Pharmacology, Gerontology, Clinical courses
- Average teaching load of 20 semester credit hours or their equivalent per academic year
- Teach during Hartwick's four-week January Term
- Commitment to excellence and innovation in undergraduate teaching
- Advise students of all levels and backgrounds through the transition to college
- Engage in scholarly and/or creative activities
- Work closely with students in a small college environment
Requirements
- M.S. in Nursing at the time of the appointment
- An unencumbered NYS RN license
- Recent relevant clinical or educational experience
- Preference given to applicants with a doctorate in nursing
- At least three years of full-time teaching experience in a bachelor’s level Nursing program
- Certification and additional areas of nursing specialization
Qualifications
- Versatile candidates with expertise in Medical-Surgical, Research, Pharmacology, Gerontology, Clinical
- Options for rank include Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing (full-time, renewable) or Assistant Professor of Nursing (full-time, tenure-track)
Skills
- Excellence and innovation in undergraduate teaching
- Active engagement in scholarly and/or creative activities
- Working closely with students in a small college environment

Pay
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position. Salary Range: $70,000-$72,000
