About the Role
The Department of Molecular Genetics in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Investigators addressing fundamentally important biological questions in any area of eukaryotic Developmental Biology, Cell Biology, or Genomics are encouraged to apply. Applicants with interest and expertise in imaging, quantitative biology, computational biology, multi-omics analyses, or systems biology will be especially competitive.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an externally funded, nationally recognized active research program in their area of expertise.
- Support the department’s commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of a diverse student body at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree (PhD or MD).
- At least two years of post-doctoral or equivalent experience (exceptions made for candidates holding graduate-to-faculty transition awards).
- Strong record of demonstrated research productivity.
- Ability to develop a rigorous research program.
- Commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
