About the Role

The Business Administration Division of Seaver College at Pepperdine University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Finance, beginning August 1, 2027. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Corporate Finance, Investments, and Personal Finance. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

The business program at Seaver College is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Pepperdine University is ranked among the top colleges and universities by US News and World Report and holds a Research 2 designation. The Business Administration Division serves approximately 975 undergraduate students, with small class sizes (rarely exceeding 30 students) and a collegial, collaborative faculty environment.

The division offers Bachelor of Science degree programs in accounting, business administration, finance, and international business, as well as several minors. All programs are full-time and residential, based at the main campus in Malibu, California.

Seaver College is a residential liberal arts college of approximately 3,500 students, located in Malibu, California. Requirements

• Earned Ph.D. in Financial Economics or a related field (must be completed before the start date).
• Demonstrated commitment to the Christian mission of Pepperdine University, including support for Christian values and active participation in a faith community.
• Ability to integrate faith and learning in the classroom.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Pay

The salary for this appointment will range from $145,000 to $185,000, based on qualifications, experience, and market conditions.
