Assistant Professor of Environmental Health and Safety
About the role
The EHS Program at MSSU is accredited by the National Environmental Health, Science and Protection Accreditation Council and is a Board of Certified Safety Professionals Qualified Academic Program (QAP). It offers a BS and BAS in EHS.
Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate public health and environmental science related courses in both face-to-face and online formats. Demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence, scholarly activity, and advising at the undergraduate level. The position requires a Ph.D. in Public Health, Environmental Health and Safety, Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences or a closely related area field, though candidates with an earned MPH and relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, scholarly activity, and advising at the undergraduate level.
- A Ph.D. in Public Health, Environmental Health and Safety, Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences or a closely related area field is preferred.
- Candidates who are ABD or have an earned MPH with career experience are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience and/or work experience in EHS related fields are preferred but not required.

Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a passion for education and public health.
