Up to two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Criminal Justice & Criminology are available at Sam Houston State University’s College of Criminal Justice.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active research agenda with a strong publication record
• Pursue external research funding opportunities
• Teach core courses in the Department’s academic degree programs
• Mentor students at the undergraduate and graduate levels

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a closely related field
• Preference for expertise in policing or juvenile justice and delinquency
• On-site teaching and research expectations consistent with an R2 doctoral-granting department
