Assistant Professor | Criminology / Criminal Justice

About the role
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and student mentorship. Service to the department, university, and profession is expected, consistent with the responsibilities of a tenure-track faculty member.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in both criminology and criminal justice, including Introduction to Criminology, Criminological Theory, and Quantitative Research Methods
- Develop and teach elective courses that align with professional expertise and research interests
- Engage students in a dynamic learning environment
- Contribute to the growth and development of the Criminology program
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, or a closely related field required by the time of appointment
- College or university teaching experience preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to effective teaching and student success
- Potential for scholarly achievement and professional engagement
