The UNT Department of Psychology is one of the largest and most dynamic psychology programs in the region, with more than 40 faculty members, 100 graduate students, and over 2,500 undergraduate majors. Faculty lead innovative research programs spanning clinical science, counseling psychology, cognitive and brain sciences, developmental psychology, health psychology, and social and behavioral health. The department is housed within the College of Public Affairs and Health Sciences (PAHS), which prepares graduates to address diverse social issues such as aging, disability, disaster management, criminal justice, health disparities, behavioral health, public safety, public administration, public and mental health, exercise physiology, and urban design. PAHS hosts numerous centers and clinics, including the UNT Center for Sport Psychology and Athlete Mental Health, the UNT Psychology Clinic, and others.
