Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice - Ophthalmology

Essential Job Functions

• Provide faculty support to meet the teaching and patient care needs of the Department of Ophthalmology.
• Participate in all teaching activities of the Department including conferences and lectures.
• Serve as a supervisor for house staff in the clinics.
• Contribute to continuing education programs, both locally and nationally.
• Attend and present at local, regional, and national meetings held at multiple locations within the UTMB Health system.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Completed an ACGME approved residency training program in ophthalmology.
• Interest and training in vitreoretinal diseases, including surgery.
• Eligible for or have a Texas Medical License without restrictions.

Salary

Commensurate with experience.
