About the role
The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students and residents in the outpatient clinic and inpatient setting and instructing clinical fellows in allied specialties such as ENT, internal medicine, and family medicine.
- Identify and schedule appropriate speakers and topics for the weekly general neurology group case conference and for the resident lecture series and assist with the virtual “Case of the Month” series.
- Teach in the preclinical Brain and Behavior course.
- Personal clinics at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) and Pennsylvania Hospital, as well as attending responsibilities for resident clinics at HUP.
- Specialized clinics focusing on neuro-otology.
- A small component of more general neurology clinics, particularly headache patients.
- Participation in clinical trial recruitment, CME activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Board certification in Neurology is required.
