Assistant Professor of Clinical - Medicine, Transplant Cardiology (MTI)
Job Summary
A Full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor level in the clinical/educator pathway in the Cardiovascular Division of the Department of Medicine at the Miller School of Medicine, working in the Miami Transplant Institute.
About the Role
The candidate must be well trained in all aspects of general, clinical cardiology, have completed an Advanced Fellowship in Heart Failure, and be BC/BE in Cardiovascular Diseases and BC/BE in Advanced Heart Failure. The cardiac transplant program at the Miami Transplant Institute and the University of Miami has a long track record of success and is the leading institution in Miami.
Responsibilities
- Inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of patients referred for transplant evaluation, post-transplant care, VAD management, and long term follow-up of non-transplant patients with advanced heart failure.
- Performance of procedures including endomyocardial biopsy and cardiac catheterization.
Requirements
- MD degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent).
- Candidate must be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license.

Proven record of research and teaching to join a thriving program.

Well trained in all aspects of general, clinical cardiology, with expertise in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation.
