Assistant Professor of Clinical Integrative Anatomical Sciences-Human Anatomoy
The University of Southern California (USC) seeks an Assistant Professor in the Department of Integrative Anatomical Sciences, Keck School of Medicine.
About the role
The successful candidate will teach human gross anatomy to health professional students, fulfill the department's obligation for continued excellence in teaching human anatomy in a dissection-based course with a clinical emphasis in an integrated medical curriculum, and have teaching and advising responsibilities in the department’s M.S. and Ph.D. programs. They are expected to develop and maintain a productive research program with the potential to attract extramural funding and complement the research of the anatomy, histology, and neuroanatomy faculty within the department.
Responsibilities
- Teach human gross anatomy to health professional students
- Fulfill the department's obligation for continued excellence in teaching human anatomy in a dissection-based course with a clinical emphasis in an integrated medical curriculum
- Have teaching and advising responsibilities in the department’s M.S. and Ph.D. programs
- Contribute to the teaching of related anatomical sciences (neuroanatomy, embryology, or histology)
- Develop and maintain a productive research program with the potential to attract extramural funding
- Complement the research of the anatomy, histology, and neuroanatomy faculty within the department
Requirements
The ideal candidate must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and prior experience teaching human gross anatomy to health professional students.
Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to empirical scholarship in the anatomical sciences and have a strong record of research productivity.
Skills
Ability to contribute to the teaching of related anatomical sciences is desirable but not required.
