Assistant Professor of Clinical - Diagnostic Radiology, Pediatrics

About the role

The successful applicant will join a faculty of over 70 clinical radiologists across multiple facilities, including Jackson Memorial Hospital and University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics. UHealth is South Florida’s only university-based medical system, comprising more than 1,400 physicians and scientists who provide exceptional patient care, breakthrough research, and innovative education. The system includes the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in South Florida, and Jackson Health System, a national leader in transplants.

Responsibilities

• Interpret general radiology, neuro, abdominal, MSK, and chest imaging (CTs, MRIs, Ultrasound, X-rays, fluoroscopy).
• Take evening and weekend calls at UHealth and Jackson Health System locations as required.
• Supervise performance of technical personnel and exercise quality assurance related to diagnostic radiology.
• Provide diagnostic imaging consultations and pediatric patient care related to imaging.
• Assume administrative responsibilities related to the practice of diagnostic imaging.
• Participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows, including didactic teaching and supervision.
• Attend and actively participate in seminars, educational lectures, meetings, Grand Rounds, and other University scholarly activities.
• Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair.
• Accept assignments as determined by the department Chair.

Requirements

• Medical Degree.
• Completion of Diagnostic Radiology Residency.
• Completion of Pediatric Radiology Fellowship.
• American Board of Radiology Certified or Board Eligible.
• Florida Medical License or eligible.
• CAQ in Pediatric Radiology or CAQ Eligible.

Qualifications

• Competitive applicants will have completed at least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology.
• Prior experience in a university faculty setting is preferred but not required.
