Assistant Professor of Clinical Biochemistry, Molecular Biology & Pharmacology
About the role
The Indiana University School of Medicine-Fort Wayne (IUSM-FW) seeks a clinical-track faculty member in the Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology & Pharmacology. This position focuses on teaching medical and professional students and includes contributions to the IUSM-FW's Scholarly Concentration program in Health Care Integration and Healthy Aging.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the IUSM-FW teaching mission in the areas of biochemical and molecular basis of human health, genetics, and fundamental biological processes.
- Engage in the Scholarly Concentration program in Health Care Integration and Healthy Aging.
- Participate in service opportunities with the department and school.
Requirements
Competitive candidates should have a significant background in teaching medical and professional students. An active research program is not a requirement but engagement in scholarship that mentors students, preferably in the areas of basic science or medical education, is considered a plus.
Qualifications
- Doctoral or terminal degree required.
Skills
Preference will be given to candidates who can contribute to an integrated environment of basic science and clinical care, collaborate in interdisciplinary teams, and engage in relevant service opportunities.
