About the role
Kennesaw State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Aerospace Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, with a preferred start date of August 2027. This nine-month position is located in Marietta, Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate aerospace engineering courses.
- Develop and maintain an active, externally funded research program.
- Engage in department, college, university, and professional service appropriate to the position.
- Advance the goals and strategic plan of Kennesaw State University.
Requirements
- An earned terminal/doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in aerospace engineering or a closely related discipline at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postdoctoral training.
- Industrial experience.
- Strong publication record.
- Grant proposal experience.
- Prior teaching experience.
