Assistant Professor- Obstetrics and Gynecology- Maternal Fetal Medicine

About the Role

The Marshall School of Medicine is seeking a full‑time faculty member to serve as a Maternal and Fetal Medicine Physician. The position integrates clinical care, research, and teaching responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage ambulatory and hospitalized high‑risk obstetric patients.
• Perform antepartum fetal evaluations.
• Provide on‑call coverage for high‑risk obstetrical patients in collaboration with other obstetricians and MFM specialists.
• Participate in departmental and hospital outreach activities related to obstetrics.
• Engage in medical student and resident education.
• Conduct research and publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chair of the Department of Neuroscience and/or the division director.

Qualifications

• Full‑time faculty appointment.
• Current license to practice medicine in West Virginia, or eligibility to obtain such a license.
• Board eligibility or certification in Maternal and Fetal Medicine (implied by role).
• Demonstrated ability to manage high‑risk obstetric cases and perform fetal assessments.
• Commitment to research, scholarly publication, and academic teaching.
