Assistant Professor, Nursing - (3 Positions)

Position Information

Duties and Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a robust program of research germane to nursing and health that is supported by extramural funding.
• Maintain a high level of scholarly activity as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international meetings.
• Contribute to the undergraduate and graduate education of our students.
• Serve on college and University committees.

Required Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications

• PhD degree or other research degree at time of appointment.
• One of the two highest degrees must be in nursing.
• Demonstrated record of scholarly productivity commensurate with experience.
• Evidence of eligibility for appointment as Assistant Professor (as showcased in your CV).
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated excellence in writing skills.
• Eligible for RN or APRN licensure in Rhode Island.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
• Preferred: Postdoctoral training in an area related to program of research germane to nursing and health.
• Demonstrated experience in classroom and/or clinical teaching.
• Evidence of successful research collaborations.
• Demonstrated ability to write competitive applications for extramural funding.
