About the role

This position is a tenure-track appointment in the Department of SOM KC Cardiovascular Medicine at the rank of Assistant Professor - Non-Invasive Adult Congenital Heart Disease.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the ACHD population in the acute and ambulatory settings.
  • Provide in-patient rounding services to the Cardiovascular Department.
  • Provide imaging and advanced imaging services to diagnose and treat the ACHD and general cardiology population.
  • Provide night and weekend call services similar to other Non-Invasive Cardiologists.

Requirements

  • Education: M.D., Accredited three-year Fellowship in Cardiology, ABIM Boards in Cardiovascular Disease, and ABIM Boards in Internal Medicine.
  • One to five years of experience or training in ACHD.
  • Manage the patient with ACHD and have appropriate advanced imaging skills for diagnosis and treatment.

Qualifications

  • Education: Accredited two-year Fellowship in Adult Congenital Heart Disease, ABIM Boarded in ACHD, ABIM Boards in Cardiac Ultrasound, and Boards in Advanced Imaging.

Skills

  • Strong clinical skills in managing patients with congenital heart disease.
  • Advanced imaging skills for diagnosis and treatment.
  • Effective communication and teaching abilities.
