About the role
This position is a tenure-track faculty member in the Department of Neuroscience at Butler University.
Responsibilities
- Teach three courses (nine credit hours) per semester in-person
- Active program of research involving undergraduate collaborators
- Engage in collaborative research with undergraduate students
- Build inclusive classroom and scholarly environment
Requirements
- PhD in neuroscience or closely related field by time of appointment
- Broadly trained in neuroscience
- Ability to teach core and discipline-specific neuroscience courses
- Ability to teach majors and/or non-majors courses in biology, computer science, philosophy, or psychology
- Greatest needs in biological and psychological approaches to neuroscience
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive teaching practices
- Commitment to evidence-based and engaged-learning pedagogies
