About the role

This position is a tenure-track faculty member in the Department of Neuroscience at Butler University.

Responsibilities

  • Teach three courses (nine credit hours) per semester in-person
  • Active program of research involving undergraduate collaborators
  • Engage in collaborative research with undergraduate students
  • Build inclusive classroom and scholarly environment

Requirements

  • PhD in neuroscience or closely related field by time of appointment
  • Broadly trained in neuroscience
  • Ability to teach core and discipline-specific neuroscience courses
  • Ability to teach majors and/or non-majors courses in biology, computer science, philosophy, or psychology
  • Greatest needs in biological and psychological approaches to neuroscience
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive teaching practices
  • Commitment to evidence-based and engaged-learning pedagogies
