About the role

The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluation and management of Parkinson’s disease, related disorders, and other movement disorders
  • Expertise in botulinum toxin injection, management of neurostimulators, and novel technologies related to clinical assessment
  • Teaching responsibilities may include the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as formal lecture opportunities within the department
  • Outpatient consultations and ongoing care of patients with Movement Disorders
  • Supervision of resident clinic and a minor component of inpatient care of general neurology patients (approximately 1-2 weeks per year)
  • Research or scholarship responsibilities may include either an independent research program or an active collaborative role in integrated research programs
  • Participation as a site investigator in clinical trials

Requirements

  • An M.D. or equivalent degree
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology
  • Completion of a fellowship in Movement Disorders

Qualifications

  • Expertise in the specific area of evaluation and management of Parkinson’s disease, related disorders, and other movement disorders
  • Expertise in botulinum toxin injection, management of neurostimulators, and novel technologies related to clinical assessment
