Role Overview

The incumbent will be responsible for academic delivery, laboratory skill training, student mentoring, research activities, industry integration, and academic administration related to Medical Laboratory Science and Clinical Biochemistry programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver theory, practical, and skill-based sessions in Medical/Clinical Biochemistry.
• Cook up laboratory sessions, clinical postings, internships, and OJT/OJL activities.
• Mentor students and provide academic counselling and career guidance.
• Prepare question papers, assessments, practical examinations, and evaluation reports.
• Participate in research, publications, consultancy, and curriculum development activities.
• Support accreditation processes, BOS activities, admissions, and institutional events.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards, biosafety protocols, and good laboratory practices.
• Facilitate industry collaborations and skill-development initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Master’s Degree in Medical Biochemistry / Clinical Biochemistry / Biochemistry / Medical Laboratory Science (Biochemistry Specialization) from a recognized institution.
• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
• Certifications in Clinical Biochemistry, Quality Management Systems, or Laboratory Accreditation.
• Training in molecular diagnostics, advanced laboratory techniques, or healthcare quality systems.
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching and/or diagnostic laboratory experience in a recognized hospital, diagnostic centre, medical college, or academic institution.
