Assistant Professor - Biochemistry

MCW’s Department of Biochemistry invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment in its Program in Chemical Biology at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. We seek individuals who will develop and apply integrative methods in chemical biology and structural biology to understand the molecular basis of human health and advance therapeutic approaches to chronic diseases, particularly cancer, inflammation, and neurodegeneration. Candidates with interests in epigenetics, GPCR signaling, glycobiology, or metabolic disorders are encouraged to apply.

About the department

The Department of Biochemistry at MCW has a long history of outstanding research. Areas of research strength include cancer biology, cell signaling, glycobiology, structural biology, and metabolism, supported by exceptional structural biology, chemical biology, and therapeutics development programs.

MCW is the 3rd largest private medical school in the country and the lead member institution in the Clinical and Translational Science Institute of Southeast Wisconsin (CTSI-SW), together with Froedtert Hospital, Children’s Wisconsin, the Versiti Blood Research Institute, Marquette University, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Milwaukee School of Engineering, and the Clement J.
