About the role
The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of stroke and cerebrovascular disease, with successful completion of an ACGME-certified fellowship in Vascular Neurology.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as formal lecture opportunities within the department.
- Clinical responsibilities may include being an attending on the stroke inpatient and consult services at the Penn Medicine hospitals and telestroke/call service across the health system, with possibly additional service at affiliated hospitals if needed, in proportion to clinical effort and as shared with other members of the division.
- When not on service, the new faculty member will do outpatient sessions commensurate with effort.
Requirements
- An M.D. degree.
- Board certification in Neurology.
- Board certification or board-eligible in Vascular Neurology.
