Assistant Professor in Operations/Business Analytics

About the role

The University of Oregon Law Library is seeking an Emerging Technology and Student Outreach Librarian to lead efforts in promoting student engagement, digital literacy, and practice-ready skills through the integration of current and emerging technologies.

• Lead efforts to integrate current and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and data analytics, into teaching, curriculum development, and research.
• Coordinate student outreach activities and serve as a law library liaison to student-run law journals and other law student organizations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to enhance student engagement with emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with faculty and students to incorporate technology into teaching and research.
• Organize and facilitate workshops and training sessions on digital literacy and technology.
• Assist in the development and implementation of technology-enhanced curricula.
• Oversee the maintenance and updating of library resources related to emerging technologies.
• Engage with students and faculty to gather feedback and improve library services.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Library Science or a related field.
• Experience with emerging technologies and their integration into education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students and faculty.
• Knowledge of legal and academic research methods.
