Assistant Professor in Cultural Heritage Informatics

About the role

The School of Information at The University of Texas at Austin invites applicants for up to two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Cultural Heritage Informatics to start in Fall 2025.

Responsibilities

• Conduct innovative and impactful research in the work, structure, and social impact of cultural heritage institutions.
• Drive innovation to advance institutions such as libraries, museums, and archives, among other cultural heritage contexts of information.
• Teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels.

Requirements

• Innovative scholars in the field of Cultural Heritage Informatics.
• Experience in conducting research and teaching in relevant areas.
• Strong commitment to advancing the social impact of cultural heritage institutions.

Qualifications

• PhD in Information Science, Library Science, or related field.
• Research record demonstrating excellence in scholarship.
• Effective communication skills and ability to teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels.

Skills

• Expertise in Cultural Heritage Informatics.
• Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders in cultural heritage institutions.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
