About the role
The School of Information at The University of Texas at Austin invites applicants for up to two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Cultural Heritage Informatics to start in Fall 2025.
Responsibilities
- Conduct innovative and impactful research in the work, structure, and social impact of cultural heritage institutions.
- Drive innovation to advance institutions such as libraries, museums, and archives, among other cultural heritage contexts of information.
- Teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
Requirements
- Innovative scholars in the field of Cultural Heritage Informatics.
- Experience in conducting research and teaching in relevant areas.
- Strong commitment to advancing the social impact of cultural heritage institutions.
Qualifications
- PhD in Information Science, Library Science, or related field.
- Research record demonstrating excellence in scholarship.
- Effective communication skills and ability to teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
Skills
- Expertise in Cultural Heritage Informatics.
- Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders in cultural heritage institutions.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
